JOB POSTING 2024
Chimalow Produce is entering its fourth official season. We are growing on 1.5 acres split between four properties in the Chimacum/Port Ludow area (aka Chimalow). We have a Weekly Box CSA Program, sell at the Port Townsend Farmers Markets and have several wholesale accounts.
At Chimalow Produce you will work with a small crew to learn how to manage soil holistically and responsibly. We do our best to priortize soil health though by using some no-till and low-till techniques, apply materials thoughtfully to make minerally balanced soil and aim to keep fields free of weeds. We are not certified organic but our farming practices fall within the requirements of this certification. We work hard to bring the highest quality produce possible to all of our customers.
The farm is owned and managed by Laura Llewellyn. She has been working on farms since 2005 with 11 years of experience as a manager (6 years on farm and 5 years as a produce manger). Thus, she has the background and know-how to facilitate an informative and positive workplace. Laura also has a basket business called Wildly Crafted Baskets which are sold at the market with produce.
See Job Description for more information.
To apply please send resume and cover letter to laura@chimalowproduce.com. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
